OUR STORY

Aider Foundation India was established on July 4, 2023.  Before founding Aider, Idayamani and Michéle had worked together as colleagues for 11 years supporting the education of underprivileged children in India.  Following the COVID-19 Pandemic they recognized that many children had dropped out of school and were suffering from a lack of education.  In response, Idayamani and Michéle created Aider Foundation India to provide services to the marginalized children of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry: the orphans, semi-orphans, and gypsies.  Together, they started working on educational and service programs in 2 villages.  They have since grown the foundation to serve 10 villages, and hope to serve many more in the years to come.
